Corporation of
the Township of Malahide April 17, 2001 Malahide
Township Council met at the above time with all members present.
Mr. Gary Blazak the Township Planner was also in attendance. Final
changes to the Urban Area maps were completed as per the request of Council.
This resulted in final growth projection of 225 short term lots and 1200
long term lots. The new Hamlet
configurations on the revised maps were noted. Two
policy: one for “infilling” and the other for the “Ontario Police
College” were reviewed and accepted. Council
felt they were ready to proceed to a public meeting. A date of June 14, 2001, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 -
9:00 p.m. was set. Council
felt the property owners around the hamlets needed to be advised regarding their
property. It was agreed to send
them a notice. The maps were to be
put on the internet as well as a Notice in the local paper. If
a Notice was to be sent out for a change in the garbage pick-up service,
additional notice regarding the OPA was to be included. Changes
to property at Lot 34, Concession 6 were considered. The Planner was directed to incorporate the provisions
requested. A
name change to an urban area was considered.
Council were to look into an alternative name to “Pikes Peak”. The
Planner was advised a name change would be forthcoming.
The CAO was to try and have Mr. Underhill come for 7:00 p.m. on April 19,
2001. Moved
