Corporation of the Township of Malahide
ROAD COMMITTEE MEETING

JANUARY 23, 2001

 Malahide Township Council met at the above mentioned time with all members present.  Also present was the Road Superintendent, David Hartley, Treasurer, Susan Wilson.

John R. Spriet was present to review the draft plans for the Dorchester Road Culvert, being the project the Township is submitting for consideration of the OSTAR Funding.  It was agreed that the entire project costs would be tendered.

Council directed Mr. Spriet to modify the plans to accommodate more work if required by DFO, and to project the costs over a 2 year period.  Council were in agreement to review the submission prior to January 31, 2001.

County Road Maintenance costs for 2000 were discussed.

THAT the determination of maintenance costs on County roads for 2000 be tabled and Township Staff be directed to meet with County staff to discuss the maintenance allocation in relation to expenditures and report back to Council.

Councillor Faulds and administrative staff were authorized to attend a meeting at the Town of Aylmer on January 29, 2001.

The Clerk was authorized to enter into an agreement with Hydro One Inc. and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce authorizing Hydro One to deposit cheques made payable to the Malahide Utility Commission.
